In 2021 we introduced our online mentorship programme with 154 Mentees and 12 Mentors. This year we have 83 mentees and 20 mentors.
The mentorship programme is a 6 months programme for law students and law graduates residing in Pretoria and Johannesburg..
the first intake take place between January and June, and the second intake takes place between July and December.
The programme features women in law as guest mentors, who are dedicated to passing down their knowledge and expertise. These are attorneys, candidate attorneys, advocates, pupil advocates and law graduates who have chosen alternative routes outside of practice.
The aim is to provide our mentees with as much information as possible in order to make the best career moves, tackling various topics such as:
– The road to admission;
– Effective networking;
– Transformation in the legal profession;
– Starting your own practice;
– Interview Prep & Drafting your CV
– Legal Careers and Alternatives
– And more!
We encourage our mentees to connect with the mentors in order to get the best out of the programme. It is the mentee’s responsibility to reach out and ask the necessary questions. We create the environment and platform for our mentees to have access to some phenomenal women in law!
