Are you interested in pursuing a legal career that does not require admission?
Thinking about what you can do with your BA Law or BCom Law degree?
Our Legal Careers Workshop is designed to explore the diverse career opportunities that a law degree can unlock. Traditional and non-traditional legal careers.
This year we had Thabang Lesita forming part of our panel of speakers.
Thabang started his journey as a BA Law Graduate at the Department of Cooperative Governance where he served as an intern in the Legal Chief Directorate. Upon completion of the internship program he was promoted to Legal Administration Officer: Litigation Services.
Thabang is currently a Legal Advisor at the South African Local Government Association.
He holds a BA Law degree, an Honours degree in Political Sciences and an LLB degree. In addition, he has completed a short course in Legislative Drafting at the University of Pretoria and he recently completed the Practical Legal Training at LEADS in advancement of his legal career.
In his current role as a Legal Advisor, Thabang is responsible for External Legal Advisory Services.
During the workshop Thabang shared invaluable tips on how to get into this space, and the different career options available within this space.
