MENTORSHIP
Mentorship is a two-way relationship that thrives on mutual commitment, effort, and respect. Unlike a one-sided transaction where only one person gives and the other receives, effective mentorship requires active participation from both mentor and mentee to create a meaningful and impactful experience. These are just a few examples of a mentor and mentee ‘s responsibilities.
Like any relationship, mentorship can break down if one side isn’t invested. A disengaged mentor can leave the mentee feeling lost, while an unmotivated mentee can discourage the mentor from continuing to offer support. When both parties put in the effort, mentorship can become a transformative experience that benefits not just the individuals involved, but also the broader community and industry they contribute to.
