For Women in Law

What an honour to have been invited as a guest speaker at the 7th edition of the Festival Culturel de la Femme in the Democratic Republic of Congo, hosted by Fondation Angele Musasa, founded by Evodie Tshimanga. This milestone not only marked a personal homecoming but also an opportunity to bring the vision of For Women in Law to an international stage.

– The Angèle Musasa Foundation is a non-profit organisation that works in the charitable sector to improve the daily lives of women in need, with a goal to empower women to take charge of their own lives. The aim is to empower women and this mission is closely aligned with our mission at FWIL.

I delivered a message centred around mentorship – encouraging women to pass the baton, share their wisdom, and create space for the next generation of leaders.

Standing before a room of emerging and seasoned women trailblazers in my home country, I was reminded of the power of community, representation, and legacy. It was a full-circle moment that affirmed the global relevance of our work and the urgency of empowering women through shared knowledge and leadership.

A heartfelt thank you to Evodie Tshimanga for the invitation and for creating such an inspiring platform. What a beautiful way to close off Women’s Month. Celebrating the strength, resilience, and endless potential of women everywhere. #FESCUF7
