About FWIL

Founder
Founder
Noémi Muya is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, an LLM candidate, and the Founder of For Women in Law (FWIL). She holds a BA Law and LLB degree and is a proud Golden Key International Honour Society member.
A bilingual (English/French) attorney, Noémi has strong expertise in cross-border commercial transactions, contracts, and corporate governance across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
Her career is further marked by a strong dedication to mentorship, legal education, and creating opportunities for aspiring lawyers. Through FWIL, Noémi has built a dynamic platform where young professionals can connect, develop professionally, and access meaningful career guidance.
In addition to her work with FWIL, Noémi has served as a guest lecturer at various tertiary institutions and has spoken at numerous conferences, panels, and workshops on topics ranging from career development to issues affecting women in law.
Beyond her work in career guidance and legal education, Noémi is expanding her influence in the corporate legal sector. With a unique blend of academic excellence, legal expertise, and a passion for empowering others, she is committed to shaping the future of women in law and leaving a lasting impact on the legal profession.

Medina Mahlako is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, operations strategist, and governance professional with extensive experience in legal practice, organisational development, and business operations. She holds a BCom Law and LLB degree from the University of Pretoria and was recognised as a SEESA Top Scholar.
Throughout her career, Medina has combined legal expertise with strategic leadership, leading operations, governance, and organisational growth initiatives at Consulting byBongi. Her experience spans legal advisory services, compliance, risk management, process optimisation, and the development of systems that enable organisations and teams to scale effectively. She is also expanding her expertise into international markets, with a growing focus on US legal, compliance, and business frameworks.
A strong advocate for skills development and professional growth, Medina is passionate about creating opportunities for individuals to develop their potential and advance their careers. Through her work, she has mentored professionals, built capacity within teams, and championed initiatives that support learning and sustainable development.
As a Director of For Women in Law, Medina is committed to empowering women in the legal profession through mentorship, professional development, and meaningful opportunities for growth. She is dedicated to helping shape a more inclusive and impactful future for women in law.
